Merina, 30, is from Rongai and started working as an artisan in 2013. She specializes in beads, wire, leather, bone, and brass. She has a strong interest in artisan work and wants to always learn more.
Merina has two children and is separated from her husband. She lived with her parents for sometime and worked as house help before she learned to work as an artisan. She can now support her children and pay their school fees.
